All Yago School students rights and duties are those laid out by present laws which deal with these Rights and Duties as well as those set out below.
All students have the same rights and duties, which are age appropriate and in accordance with subject material being studied at any given time. It is the duty of all
members of the educational community to ensure that student´s rights are respected and that students comply with their duties.
RIGHTS
- Students have right to receive an education which will ensure maximum development
in all areas, as set out in the current laws of education and the internal
educational project of the school.
- As members of the educational community, students have the right to be valued
both as people and as students.
- Race, sex, religion, physical appearance, or social standing will never be the
cause of discrimination of any form.
- All students´progress will be evaluated fairly and objectively.
- Students´privacy, physical integrity and personal dignity will be respected and
will never be criticized or be the object of degrading or disrespectful remarks or
comments (see the School´s anti BULLYING policy).
- All students have the right to play and work as long as such play and work does
not infringe upon the basic Rules and Regulations of Behaviour of the School.
- Depending on the capabilities and capacity of students, orientation and guidance
of a non sexist and professional nature will be given to each and every
student.
- Students have the right to give their opinion as regards decisions made of an
educational nature which may concern them.
- Academic and moral support wil be given to students as well as the necessary
tools in order to be able to study, learn and participate in School life and therefore
obtain maximum results in the development of the curriculum.
